Environmental Day at the Capitol (Charleston, WV)

We commend our coalition member, West Virginia Environmental Council, for hosting an exceptional Environmental Day at the State Capitol! Over 125 members from diverse backgrounds gathered to champion environmental causes, engaging in meaningful dialogues with legislators and advocating for community solar and net metering legislation.

Mutual Aid Fair (Charleston, WV)

West Virginians for Energy Freedom had a strong presence at the Mutual Aid Fair this month, with Robin Blakeman and Morgan Fowler staffing the WV4EF table. Attendees were offered energy efficiency supplies and handouts with tips for saving energy at home. With over 200 attendees, this event set a record for attendance. Many attendees shared poignant stories, highlighting the challenges they face due to high utility rates.

One woman explained that she couldn't afford to turn her water back on because of soaring electric rates, while another individual expressed difficulty in saving for a house due to the recent utility rate increases. These stories underscore the importance of fair electricity rates and the need for energy efficiency measures to alleviate financial burdens on individuals and families.

WV Construction & Design Expo (Charleston, WV)

Join West Virginians for Energy Freedom at the WV Construction and Design Expo! We’ll be networking with local businesses, offering insights into energy freedom and cost-effective alternative energy solutions, and highlighting federal incentives that can help make energy cheaper. West Virginians for Energy Freedom is excited to announce our upcoming Community Roadshow, coming to a town near you! We will be touring across West Virginia and offering workshops to local businesses and community members. These workshops provide insights into energy freedom barriers, navigating the legislative process, leveraging incentives for cheaper energy, and advocating for your energy rights.
